Sometimes the moments I love in a wedding don’t come from peoples’ expressions. We are taught by our parents on how to live and these lessons are passed down to our kin and so on. That leaves an impression on all of us and makes us see the world in a unique way. This image comes from the biggest part of my heart because I see me in this image.
I walked into Patty’s Parents house on May 20th 2011, and the first thing I saw after being greeted by her mother was a room just off the foyer filled with everything wedding. Dresses, Bags, signs, Macy boxes, gifts and just about anything else you can think of. I felt a sense of connection with this room as if my room might look similar on my wedding day. Seeing the “Just Married” sign tied the whole story together with this image that we don’t often get to see on a wedding…a behind-the-scenes look at what all weddings look like. Individual treasures we bring together for one day to celebrate the union of 2 people and the start of their family.
