We all see those people. The ones that make love look, Oh so good! Its just like the first time you make eye contact with your favorite Ben and Jerry’s ice cream and say “I never knew you existed in this world but now that I found you my life will be so much sweeter!” Well that is was Lorna and Ryan are to each other. I couldn’t say nicer things about them as individuals and as a couple they have a remarkable relationship that I think scientist should study so the rest of us can buy it someday. They both take life with a laugh and sense of humor which is weird because they both work in the medical field and can be found in the operating room guiding doctors on how to use the medical equipment they rep. I guess Scrubs isn’t so far from the comedic truth though.
I had the pleasure of visiting the greater Austin, Texas city to shoot the both of them. Now Austin is an amazing city that brims with life and culture I didn’t know Texas was even capable of having. There WAS only one thing that raised an eyebrow which was inbetween my connecting flight in Houston. As I exited the plane I looked up to saw a Fox Channel convenience store. I don’t know about the rest of the country but I never knew TV Stations got into the highly competitive convenient store business. About another 60 feet I reached the CNBC convenience store too but I digress.
Arriving in Austin was a breath of fresh air. The city is gorgeous. I really mean it. I would live there in a heart beat. Its beautiful and the people were Texas friendly. Lorna’s family owns a farm about an hour out of Austin and I knew that’s where I wanted to focus on the engagement session. They always had a playful disposition with each other and I have to admit shooting them was a blast. They set the date to be married on this farm next year but I am planning to be back much sooner as this City and my friends, Lorna and Ryan, are ranked at the top in my book.
