All it took was squinting in the right sunlight to imagine Alison and Adam as the next Kennedy couple waiting for their wedding ceremony in Hyannis Port.  Even though we might be a few decades off, Alison and Adam were certainly royalty of Merrillville on this beautiful day in August.

While Adam and his groomsmen were passing time with some high-stakes card games, Alison was with her bridesmaids at Fashion Affair making sure every last hair was in place.  She slipped into her feathered Allure gown and made sure her matching hairpiece was secured in her hair before making her way to the Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

Alison and Adam shared a touching ceremony, surrounded by all of their family and friends.  The priest, the same who married Adam’s parents, gave a light-hearted sermon and shared funny anecdotes about the young couple to be married.  Alison carried a stunning waterfall bouquet of orchids, courtesy of Melissa Seraphin.

We had a great time shooting the bridal party portraits with Alison and Adam’s friends at Deep River Park.  The rustic feel of the park settings were the perfect complement to this wedding party’s glamour.

The reception was held at the Avalon Manor, and Alison and Adam made sure that their guests were treated to a great party.  They brought in a magician for their cocktail hour that impressed all of the guests with his sleight of hand.  He was so good that even the guests who abstained from the ice martini bar were fooled, too.

Dinner was served at tables that were piled high with roses, tealights, and strands of crystals.  The toasts were sweet and entertaining – Joe (a Kennedy, I swear) in particular had everyone in fits of laughter with his recommendations to Alison on how to manage Adam.

The incredible performers from Déjà vu opened the dance floor with their infectious beats, and guests that weren’t crowding the dance floor were making sure to document the evening’s antics with the photobooth from Photo Booth Flash.  Such a great idea for a guest book!  Alison and Adam also made sure that every sweet tooth in the room was satisfied with the biggest candy buffet that Albanese Confectionery has supplied so far, as well as a chocolate fondue fountain with all the trimmings.  We were spoiled, I tell you.

Alison and Adam, you’re such beautiful people with incredible hospitality and kindness!  We hope you had a great time on your honeymoon in Hawaii and we wish you the best in marriage and in life.
