The Le Cordon Bleu Commercial

Well I finally got copy of my commercial that I shot during 2008. This commercial was fun because you know you have to be overly excited and a little cheesy. I had the opportunity to go back this week to do a re-shoot of it. Why might you ask? Well I say in the commercial below that 2 million job will be added over the next 10 years. It’s actually changed to 1.8 million so I needed to go back and re-shoot a 30 second spot for 8 hours. This was my day.

My first start was a good breakfast. It’s my treat for getting up that early in the morning. I go to my favorite breakfast joint, IHOP.

They have a new special! Stuffed French Toast with strawberry toppings. I call it now the Bermuda triangle of goodness.

Mmmmmmmmmmm…. I ate it so fast.

This is my makeup artist. She is married to Bill the tech man and they 2 kids together.

The uniforms I have to wear. I have to wear it only on camera so I can at least relax afterwards. It’s weird because I always felt like I need to get food for people while I wore it. 😉

This is the copy for the voice over. I can’t really show it all to you. I don’t want to get anyone fired.

I’m trying to taking a picture of myself from the monitor hooked up to the camera. I got unrestricted access to shoot this day somehow.

This was my bread and butter. A stool and smart water. They go a long way in a studio.

I really, really, really want to buy one of these cameras someday.

This microphone was only one foot from my head. It’s huge and was taunting me throughout the day.

0013_cooking-commercial

The mark on the floor that I can’t cross. I have to stand there for quite some time during takes.

0014_cooking-commercial

My view from where I stand. I see that for 8 hours.

0015_cooking-commercial

Bill working his techie magic on the camera. He is like the wizard of oz. He makes this show look good.

0016_cooking-commercial

Bill was kind enough to take a picture of me during the voice over work. I smile all day long because I am getting paid to do something I love. Also note the microphone creeping in!!!

The director makes his debut. He is acting dead because voice over work takes forever and I think the like to play dead around cameras.

Todd the director working to get everything wrapped up before the end of the day.

The Car ride home in traffic. Its much more dangerous than it looks to take a photograph while driving.
