We kinda wish we could be invited to all of Katie and Jesse’s parties – we had so much fun shooting their wedding that we’re sure everything they do is a riot!
We were greeted at the door of Salon 312 by Katie’s three adorable dogs. The salon, owned by the bride herself, was decked out in Amy Butler fabrics and Anthropologie trimmings, and the girls were enjoying a few light cocktails while Katie and her team worked their magic.
This is Katie finally doing her own hair after styling pretty much every other bridesmaid. She is on no sleep and about the happiest person…. ever. Did I mention she is doing her own hair! Just wait because it looks fantastic but I just wanted to point out the feat she took on the day of her own wedding. This pooch looked a little worried that he was next for the curling iron.
We headed over to Katie’s parents’ house where her Watters gown was waiting patiently next to her fingertip veil. We took some portraits in the beautiful backyard, Katie kissed her frog prince, and we headed off to the church.
Katie chose to decorate the aisles of the Saint Patrick’s Church in Lemont with olive branches, a subtle nod to her Italian heritage.
After the ceremony, we headed over to the carnival across the street for some incredible fun and great bridal party photos. Cotton candy and bumper cars between ceremony and reception = wedding WIN!
I wish every groom had the opportunity to do some bumper cars with his groomsmen on his wedding day – it was a great way to relieve any lingering anxiety from the ceremony.
Katie and Jesse held their reception at Maggiano’s Little Italy. Each table setting included an olive branch and a delicious cupcake. I won’t tell you which photographer consumed 4+ cupcakes after the reception.
Katie’s bouquet was gorgeous – we love the ivy wrapped around the stems!
Katie made sure that everyone was having a good time, and we mean EVERYONE. She even pulled our photography team out on to the dance floor to “shake what our mommas gave us.” Love her.
Katie and Jesse chose to complement their tablecloth guest book with a Polaroid guestbook collage. This is such a good idea! We saw so many guests having fun with the cameras and the collage turned out great.
Katie and Jesse, we love how your personalities complement each other and we had so much fun shooting your wedding! We will be checking the mailbox for our next invitation…
